The Greenland Ice Sheet Ocean Science (GRISO) network will host the first GRISO Summer School in Nuuk, Greenland during July 11-23, 2022. The topic is Impacts of glacier retreat on Greenland coastal margins.

The International Conference for YOUNG Marine Researchers - ICYMARE (www.icymare.com) is a bottom-up initiative by volunteers and offers a powerful and inspiring international set-up for an excellent network opportunity and some first conference experience. ICYMARE is organized by and for young marine researchers based at the “Bremen Society for Natural Sciences from 1864”. The next in-person conference, ICYMARE 2022 BREMERHAVEN, will take place 13 to 16 September 2022 at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven, Germany.

Join us for a multi-day workshop to participate in sessions and activities about effective teaching strategies, course design, establishing a research program in a new setting, working with research students, balancing professional and personal responsibilities, and time management. The workshop is a great way to connect with other early-career geoscience faculty and includes an optional virtual visit to NSF to learn about funding opportunities and meet with program officers.

Followed by a panel discussion the ALLEA working group Climate Sustainability in the Academic System will present a preview of the report which will be released this year.

Goal: The goal of CliC fellowships and grants is to increase the engagement of Early Career Scientists in CliC activities and to promote participation of scientists from regions currently underrepresented in CliC, i.e., South America, Asia and Africa.

As many of you know Inspiring Girls Expeditions grew from the original glaciology-inspired "Girls on Ice" through the support of this whole community over two decades. Thank you!!

Our applications are open for this FREE field science opportunity for girls*. Our mission to empower young women through science, art, and wilderness exploration. This workshop will be dedicated to Polar Access Fund grantees and other early-career researchers about the co-production of knowledge. We will discuss best practices and practical tips for scientists from all disciplines wishing to share and integrate knowledge or co-design methodologies with local/indigenous communities.
