APECS is organizing a workshop on "Socio-ecological Interactions in the Arctic for Integral Sustainability" at the upcoming Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2019. The workshop will be on 23 May 2019 in Arkhangelsk, Russia. Read more about the workshop.
APECS, the German Arctic Office, RANNIS, in cooperation with the German Embassy in Reykjavik and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office organize a workshop on "Raising awareness and building capacity for science-based policy-making" for early career researchers on 8 - 9 October 2019 in Reykjavik, Iceland. The Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC), will be the first year-around expedition exploring the coupled Arctic climate system. During the first leg of the expedition, APECS works together with the the MOSAiC partners to offer the MOSAiC School 2019 in September / October 2019 on board of the support icebreaker RV Akademik Fedorov.
