The Ocean Best Practices endorsed Programme is looking for ECOPs to participate in their work on Arctic practices. The work includes developing a template and guide to make Arctic methods, standards and procedures more findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR).
ECOPs are often the ones who implement these practices in the field, and are most aware of challenges, and issues that hold back the science and observation practices. There is a need for a collective effort and your insights and perspectives are very much needed in this guide for more equitable and inclusive arctic practices. The contribution will include participation in a dedicated task team in the IOC - Ocean Best Practices System, and will be further outlined collaboratively by the task team in their Terms of Reference. The task team will begin its work later this year.
