The IUCN SSC/WCPA Marine Mammal Protected Areas Task Force announces the the completion of the Extended Southern Ocean Important Marine Mammal Areas (IMMA) region.13 new Important Marine Mammal Areas (IMMAs) in the Extended Southern Ocean Region are approved. The new IMMAs, as well as candidate* IMMAs and Areas of Interest* are now on the e-Atlas on our new website and the report can be downloaded here.
