The online conference has been scheduled on 04th - 5th June from 09:00 to 17:30 hrs CEST. It includes over 40 talks by presenters from 25 institutions in 11 countries. The main aim of this conference is to provide a social experience to the cryospheric research community by bringing together scientists in these weird times when most of the field campaigns in Svalbard have been cancelled due to global pandemic of COVID-2019. Keynotes talks will be given by representatives of the European Space Agency (ESA), Arctic Amplification project and Finnish Meteorological Institute. Special sessions have been organized to provide an overview of EO and RS activities supported by SIOS via SIOS-ACCESS, SIOS-SESS and recently launched airborne campaigns in Svalbard. The conference would also cover talks from MOSAiC’s remote sensing activities, NORCE, Norwegian Ice Services, and Norwegian Space Agency (NoSA).
