We are delighted to be relaunching the SCAR newsletter, a regular update from the SCAR Secretariat containing news, events, and opportunities from and for the SCAR community and beyond.
It's been a while since we last posted a newsletter, so this one's a bit longer than usual. We have included a review of the highly successful SC-HASS (Standing Committee on Humanities and Social Sciences) meeting in Ushuaia last month, as well as an update on plans for SCAR’s Open Science Conference in Hobart in July/August 2020. We need your help to put together a stimulating and comprehensive agenda that meets the community's needs. We also recently launched a survey to help with the SCAR executive committee’s ongoing structural review. This review was requested by the SCAR Delegates at their 2018 meeting and aims to review SCAR programmes, activities and committees to ensure they continue to be fit-for-purpose as the science need evolves.
