APECS Canada is now accepting applications for the 2026 "Arctic Science to Art" Contest.

This contest invites early-career researchers to communicate their research on issues affecting northern communities through accessible, plain-language storytelling.

 

The winning submission will receive the opportunity to:

-Collaborate with an Indigenous artist to convert their research into a comic strip;

-Receive a complimentary registration to the 2026 ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting in Halifax, Canada (December 7-10, 2026);

-Be featured on the ArcticNet’s blog or podcast Arctic Minded, and on the ARF’s blog Arctic Focus.

 

All polar early-career researchers are encouraged to participate! Eligible research projects must be conducted above the discontinuous permafrost line, and affiliated with a Canadian university, college, or other institution. All disciplines are accepted.
