In this online seminar, Arctic PASSION is introducing its recently launched Arctic Communities Event Databases, a major hub for Indigenous Knowledge and local Knowledge. The databases collect observations, oral histories and knowledge about climatic, ecological and socio-cultural changes in the Arctic. This multifaceted knowledge from hundreds of knowledge holders along the Arctic seas is useful for Indigenous Peoples’ communities, local communities, respective governance structures and also the science community to connect their own research with Indigenous and local observations and to learn about the local context of Arctic communities.

All event databases can be found on the Arctic Seas Portal. Learn more about the event databases and enter into a dialogue with the developers from the Snowchange Cooperative on the 6 November 12:00 PM GMT.
