2019 has flown by and we are looking back on an eventful year. The Board of the German National Committee of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS Germany) would therefore like to reflect on the past year and thank all partners, members and friends for a successful collaboration. Highlights of the past year include our APECS Germany Workshop in Bremen, a Polar Film Fest in Potsdam and a APECS Germany Photo Competition & Raffle for Antarctica Day. We are very much looking forward to working with you or seeing you at our upcoming APECS Germany activities in 2020!
Things to look forward to in the next year include: The 28th International Polar Conference in September including a APECS workshop, Polar Week 2020 and always keep your eyes open for our social media activities. We just launched our APECS Germany postcard calendars, so join our activities in 2020 and you might be in for an old-school treat.
Finally, we hope you have a wonderful holiday coming up and allow yourself some time for rest and contemplation. For all of you in the field, we wish you a successful and safe field season. For those of you staying at home or with family and friends, we wish you a well-deserved break and happy holidays.
