The Arctic Research Icebreaker Consortium (ARICE) and Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) invite for a webinar on Marine Fungi & Mineral Ballasting -  An Influence on Arctic Carbon Export? on 27 October 2021 from 09:00 – 10:00 am GMT.

This PolarWeek was all about pen and paper, as we learned the basics of sketchnotes from Prof. Katharina Theis-Bröhl (University of Applied Science, Bremerhaven) as part of the “From Research Abstract to Comic: I can not draw, but sketch my science!” workshop.

The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) and the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) are looking for an early career scientist to join the the SOOS Observing System Design Capability Working Group (OSD CWG).

In the run-up to COP26 and in collaboration with the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust (UKAHT), the UK Polar Network is organising a series of online Pint of Science talks:

The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), the Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG) of the Arctic Council, the International Arctic Social Sciences Association (IASSA), the Sustaining Arctic Observing Network (SAON)  in cooperation with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) are excited to announce several fellowships this year: 

• IASC Fellowship Program 2022
• SDWG-IASSA-IASC Fellowship 
• SAON-IASC Fellowship

Please note that you can apply for all three fellowships but can only be accepted to one of them.

APECS is excited to announce the start of a new term on 1 October 2021. And with this we have the pleasure of announcing a new APECS Leadership!
