Are teaching programs adequately planned for students to understand what is happening in Polar Regions? Today students are struggling to understand climate change, Global Warming and Greenhouse Gases. Providing students with the perspective and skills to address these challenges often requires instructional approaches from a variety of disciplines. Today early scientists have more opportunities to develop their science communication skills with the range of tools and resources. For instance, visual tools such series of photographic, cinematographic images and methodologies currently being utilized to educate and inspire people around the world, in regard to Polar Region issues. In this session, we welcome abstracts/posters that share experiences, explain resources and lessons learned while teaching about climate change and/or describe how students in all contexts arrive at understandings or problem-solve in response to the challenges. We seek to enable the sharing of new ideas and technologies that enhance Polar Regions education and advance learning and literacy.
