There are very few books on the aquatic ecology of the Canadian Arctic. Aquatic Ecology of the Canadian Arctic will be a comprehensive book, with an accompanying website, that describes Arctic freshwater and marine ecosystems, species and the research methods. This publication uses the expertise of Department of Fisheries and Oceans scientists and Inuit elders to raise awareness about resource management issues such as conservation and habitat, to biodiversity, range and population. The book will be written for interested members of the general public and will be published in Inuktitut, Inuinnaaqtun, English, and French.
