Geological connection between west Antarctica and Patagonia since the late Paleozoic: tectonism biogeography and paleoclimate
- Students (graduate and post-docs)
Investigated if the Antarctic Peninsula was connected to the western border of Patagonia until the early Mesozoic, and that it subsequently migrated to its present position driven initially by the processes that led to the opening of the Weddell Sea and subsequently the ocean floor expansion of the Scotia Sea.
