The picture was taken during the Postgraduate Certificate of Antarctic Studies (PCAS) at our camp near Scott Base in late December 2016.
Student teams are doing work in snow pits that we had dug during the morning. We measured snow fall and snow crystal composition as part of an introduction into glaciology.
