Graduate degree in Natural History at Federal University from Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (1970), master (1974) and doctorate in Geociences at UFRGS (1997). Has experience in Botany and Paleobotany from Brazil and Antarctica, especially in Mesozoic and Cenozoic deposits. Is also acting with paleoecology, paleogeography, biodiversity and
taphonomic process using the Araucaria angustifolia subtropical rainforest from
South Brazil, and with fossiliferous sites from Brazil. Until 2013, Chief
Editor of GAEA Journal of Geosciences and 2004 – 2008, member of the Directive
Comittee of the Latinamerican Association of Paleobotanists and Palynologists.

These panels are held at major international conferences and are coordinated by
APECS members. Participation involves a 2-3 hour commitment on the day
of the panel meeting. - One-on-One Mentoring
Email correspondence with APECS members regarding career advice (including
alternative careers in polar/cryospheric issues), research skills, data
management and occasional research-specific discussions/questions. - Reviewing Resumes/CVs and Assisting with Cover Letter Development.
