1992 Masters in geophysics at the Univesity of Hamburg, Germany
1996 PhD in Kiel (graduate school Kiel University and Geomar) with a thesis on the volcaniclastic apron of Gran Canaria
1996-2000 Postdoc in the Dept. of Oceanography at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Seismic studies onshore/offshore Labrador.
2000-2004 Senior Researcher at the Danish Lithosphere Centre, Copenhagen. Marine seismic studis off Eastern Canada and Greenland.
since 2004 senior researcher with the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). Participation in nine icebreaker expeditions to the Arctic Ocean to acquire seismic and otehr geophysical data.
