We want YOU to share your voice on what the ecosystem & biodiversity in the polar regions mean to you. The September Polar Week 2022 short story/essay competition is a great way to showcase your ideas, creativity and commentary locally and on a global scale. Don’t miss out!
Short stories must be 500 words or less. Feel free to be creative as you would like, fiction and non-fiction accepted but they must have a link to the main theme – Ecosystems and Biodiversity. Individuals can submit up to two entries. Any age accepted. Entries must be submitted by 24th November 23:59 pm GMT, via Google Forms: https://forms.gle/6TJAFZQMnFPinBKU7. Through your submission, APECS will be given the right to use your poster for promotional, but not commercial, purposes.
The festival will showcase several short videos on topics related to the Polar regions to the public and broader APECS community. Films will be hosted each day digitally on our website.
Ahead of International Polar Week 2022, USAPECS is hosting the 6th annual Polar Film Fest during September 19-23, 2022. For five days, the Polar Film Fest will feature short films about the Arctic, Antarctic, and wider cryosphere.
