Organizers announce a call for abstracts for the 2017 Japan Geosciences
Union (JpGU) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Joint Meeting with
the theme, "For a Borderless World of Geoscience." This meeting will
convene 20-25 May 2017 in Chiba, Japan.
JpGU and AGU will hold the first joint meeting of the two societies
covering all areas of the earth and space sciences with more than 150
sessions to be conducted in English. The meeting is expected to have
7,000-9,000 scientists from around the globe. The meeting will cover
research in all areas of space and planetary sciences, atmosphere and
hydrosphere sciences, human geosciences, solid earth sciences, and
biogeosciences.
Travel grants will be available for students who wish to travel to this
meeting. AGU will be accepting application for students who reside
outside of Japan. JpGU will be taking applications for students residing
in Japan. Applications will be begin being accepted at a later date.
Early/discounted abstract submission deadline: 11:59 a.m. Japan Standard
Time, 3 February 2017.
Final abstract submission deadline: 5:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time, 16
February 2017.
