The Department of Geography at Durham University is delighted to be hosting the 6th 'Palaeo-Arctic Spatial and Temporal Gateways' (PAST Gateways) Conference on April 16th - 20th, 2018. As with previous conferences, it will include oral and poster presentations over 2.5 days and a mid-conference fieldtrip. We welcome contributions on the overall theme of Arctic palaeo-environmental change beyond instrumental records, and particularly on: Growth and decay of Arctic Ice Sheets, Arctic sea-ice and ocean changes, Non-glaciated Arctic environments including permafrost, and Holocene Arctic palaeo-environmental change.
The conference icebreaker will take place in the magnificent Great Hall of Durham Castle on the evening of Monday 16th April. The conference dinner will take place in Hatfield College on the evening of April 19th. Accommodation (both en-suite and shared bathroom) has been reserved in nearby Grey College. Other accommodation options are available for those who wish to make their own arrangements.
The deadline for registration is 15th February, 2018.
