The Arctic Data Center is pleased to announce that we have opened a call for applications to the summer Data Science Training for Arctic Researchers. We would be grateful if you could circulate this opportunity within your Arctic research networks.
In addition to data preservation and discovery service and tools, the Arctic Data Center provides training in data science and data management. These are critical skills for the stewardship of data, software, and many other research products that are preserved at the Arctic Data Center. A goal of the center is to advance data archiving and promote reproducible science and data reuse.
The Arctic Data Center has opened a call for applications to the summer Data Science Training for Arctic Researchers. This 2-day workshop, to be held in Santa Barbara, CA July 31st – August 1st, will provide researchers with an overview of best data management practices, data science tools and concrete steps and methods for more easily documenting and uploading their data to the Arctic Data Center. Participants will receive support to attend the meeting and early- and established-career researchers from the Arctic community are encouraged to apply; there is no research domain specificity.
The deadline for applications is Monday June 19th and full details, including information on how to apply can be found at: https://arcticdata.io/training_july2017/
