I am delighted to announce that the British Society for Geomorphology's Annual Meeting will be hosted by the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, from 4th-7th September 2022.

The main conference programme will run from Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th September inclusive. An optional, pre-conference fieldtrip to key, geomorphologically interesting sites in Northumberland will take place on Sunday 4th. The formal conference dinner on Tuesday 6th will be hosted at the nearby Wylam Brewery.

For now, this is just a date for your diaries. The official call-for-abstracts and registration will open in the Spring. We will welcome abstracts from any theme of geomorphology, including glacial / cryospheric geomorphology, and particularly encourage early career researchers and non-academic geomorphological practitioners to consider attending.

At present, we are progressing with plans to host the conference as an in-person event, with an option to attend remotely. More details to follow in due course.
