The Kodiak Area Native Association was formed in 1966 as a 501 (c)3 nonprofit corporation providing health and social services for the Alaska Natives of the Koniag region. The Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) service area includes the City of Kodiak and six Alaska Native villages: Akhiok, Karluk, Old Harbor, Ouzinkie, Port Lions, and Larsen Bay.
