Seabird Technician Training
- Students - in general
Seabirds were collected as a part of the Canadian IPY Project examining Seabirds as Indicators of changes in ecosystems. Graduate students and Environment Canada technicians later worked with Arctic College biology students to dissect and process the carcasses according to the standards specified by the National Specimen Bank. The students learned how to process bird samples for a variety of scientific questions and about the larger concepts of seabirds as indicators.
