Popular dissemination of the COPOL Project
- General public
The work of the COPEL includes chemical analysis of more than a thousand environmental samples, collected over several years. As such, the main results and conclusions from the project will not exist until the end of the project period. Therefore, we have communicated our objectives and hypotheses for the public, as well as broadcasted our activities (real time). In addition to dissemination through scientific peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences, we have communicated our activities through popular channels such as feature articles, popular science periodicals, stands at popular science events, lectures in popular fora (museums etc.), TV, and our own field diary web log (blog). Furthermore, artists have joined us in our work, providing exposure of the project and the Arctic in particular, from other viewpoints and in different settings.
