Polar Outreach Catalogue

The photo library at the Norwegian Polar Institute consists of 90 000 photographs, the oldest dating back to 1872. Images from Norwegian and some foreign polar expeditions are included in the collection. Collecting the 'missing' documentation and making it available to the public via the Internet was the aim of this project. Photos from 1956 until 1998 were collected, registered and made available for the public via the Internet.
