Polar Outreach Catalogue

?Odyssee blanche? is an original concept of mobile scientific exhibition whose aim was to propose to the general public of Low-Normandy, a French region, a discovery of the reality of polar research. The main exhibit was composed of 2 sea containers of 20 feet, and 7 sea containers of 40 feet. Processed and customised, these containers offered an exhibition area of 250 m2. Like a game of construction, they were assembled to form quite a true polar station. Transported by semi-trailers the containers allowed bringing polar research till the heart of different cities. 4 thematic areas with many interactive stations were proposed in these containers: The journey to the South Pole, the Antarctic continent, daily life within a polar station, scientific research.
