While concerns for our warming planet continue to receive considerable attention in the world media, ANDRILL (ANtarctic geologic DRILLing) recognizes the need for a comprehensive plan to help establish climate change literacy. Out of this need, the Environmental Literacy Framework with a Focus on Climate Change (ELF) was created. The materials are intended to promote an extended conceptual framework for environmental literacy that covers the major Earth systems: atmosphere, hydrosphere (including the cryosphere), geosphere and biosphere.
