Huia Jankhe tells about the topic: "This topic is based on my experiences developing and providing two total immersion Māori ITE programmes at undergraduate and post graduate levels, for teaching in immersion schools (called kura kaupapa Māori) in partnership with the national kura kaupapa Māori governance organisation. Te Aho Tātairangi is a unique programme, the only one of its kind in NZ where are graduates are contributing to mitigating the serious decline in teacher supply for the kura kaupapa Māori sector."

"To add to the authenticity of what I’ll be presenting I’ve asked my colleague Mari Ropata Te Hei to join me in the webinar as she is the coordinator of the programmes and was the principal of a kura kaupapa Māori with vast experience in the sector.", she says.
