To celebrate International Women’s Day, the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is bringing together four titans of leadership in the polar regions: Professor Dame Jane Francis, Director of the British Antarctic Survey, Jane Rumble, Head of the Polar Regions Department for the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and Kim Crosbie, former head of IAATO and UKAHT’s Chair of Trustees. The event will be chaired by our very own Head of Operations and record-breaking polar explorer Sophie Montagne.
We’ll explore how things have changed in the place once described as ‘the womanless continent’; why it matters that there are women at the helm of polar leadership; and the impact of diverse leadership when it comes to the decisions that shape our planet.
