Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) Grants for fieldwork - Call for applicants for upcoming deadline – DEADLINE 23 NOVEMBER 2021
The Society has a number of grants for postgraduates, early-career and senior researchers to support geographical fieldwork and research. The first deadline is 23 November, with later grants in January 2022. There’s full information online at www.rgs.org/Grants.
Applicants may apply for the Gilchrist Fieldwork Award alongside the Walters Kundert Fellowship.
- Gilchrist Fieldwork Award (£15,000, for a team of researchers with an outstanding proposal for research to advance geographical knowledge, that requires significant, challenging overseas fieldwork)
- Walters Kundert Fellowship (£10,000 for research in Arctic and/or high-mountain environments)
- RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards (Up to £2k, open to subjects across the full range of geography)
