IARPC LogoThe Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) invites applications for two IARPC Leadership Fellowships for Indigenous Peoples. These part-time, fixed-term position will work remotely.

This position has an expected 10 hour/month commitment. Fellowships are for one year with the option to extend pending funding.

IARPC seeking two fellows to participate in IARPC Collaborations in a leadership capacity. IARPC Collaborations brings together communities of practice led by federal and non-federal co-leaders. Although each of the collaboration teams is discussing issues directly relevant to those living in Alaska and the Arctic and team leaders are experts in their field, very few team leaders have perspectives stemming from deep place-based knowledge in Alaska. This paid fellowship seeks to increase opportunities for Indigenous individuals to lead these communities of practice.

IARPC welcomes fellows who want to work as boundary spanners between Indigenous Peoples, communities, and organizations, and the research community. Fellows will be encouraged to co-lead their team in ways that reflect their traditional values and ways of knowing. Fellows can expect to devote 10 hours a month, on average, to their fellowship responsibilities
