CEOS/University of Manitoba will be co-hosting the IGS 2019 Sea Ice Symposium with the International Glaciological Society.
IGS hosts a sea ice symposium only once every 5 years, and this event will the the first ever held in Canada. We invite you all to explore the website and circular to learn more about this event.
The theme is: Sea Ice at the Interface. The theme focuses on the implications that changes to sea ice and freshwater-marine coupling particularly involving ice sheets, glaciers, ice shelves, sea ice loss and continental runoff have on climate systems within and beyond polar regions, environmental and ecological integrity, and socioeconomic development at the regional to global scales.
