Organizers invite applications for travel grants to the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) XIII International Symposium on Antarctic Earth Sciences (ISAES). This symposium will convene 22-16 July 2019 in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
Applications for partial travel support (e.g., airfare, ground transportation, accommodation, meeting registration) are invited from students, postdoctoral researchers, and other scientists at U.S. institutions. Funding cannot be provided to anyone at a non-U.S. institution. Preference will be given to early career researchers (i.e., students and those within five years of completing a PhD).
Applicants must be enrolled as a student or employed at a U.S. institution and must be presenting a talk or poster as the lead author at the conference.
Funding for these travel grants will be provided by the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs (pending final approval).
Application deadline: 1 April 2019
