APECS Denmark and APECS Iceland are involved in the organization of the Arctic Innovation Lab at the 2023 Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland. Join the event, contribute to the discussion and pitch solutions to Arctic challenges!
About the Arctic Innovation Lab:
The Arctic Innovation Lab was established in 2014 with the goal of bringing more young people into the expanding international discussion of Arctic issues, both to educate them about this fast changing region and its impacts on the rest of the globe and to equip them to contribute to developing and implementing sustainable solutions. Students from across the globe (Harvard Kennedy School, Tufts, University of Iceland, Iceland School of Energy, University of Greenland, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and University of Alaska) develop their own innovative idea of how to address Arctic challenges and present it in a 2-minute pitch followed by a round-table discussion with session attendees. This session also serves as a venue for bright Arctic students to stress-test their innovative solutions with policy makers, scientists, business leaders and politicians. Topics include energy, security, trade, education, indigenous communities and more.
