We all understand the gruelling conditions and the long hours it takes to collect and analyse data, but we very rarely see it. We see the glamorous shots, the final products and plots, but not what it takes to get to that point. APECS South Africa (APECSSA) invites you to submit a photo to showcase #behindthescenesofscience & #howAPECSSAdoscience.
Individuals and research groups can showcase the lesser-known side of their research to the South African public by submitting photos that reveal behind the scenes of polar science, whether it be preparing for fieldwork, laboratory analyses or processing data at your computer. We want to showcase and celebrate the hard work and less glamorous side of our science with the community. Photos can be submitted via this online form from 7th to 18th of March and could be featured on the various APECSSA social media platforms during Polar Week, 21 – 26 March!
