Association of Polar Early Career Scientists

apecs logo webThe first Organizational Review of APECS was conducted in 2015 and the results were published in October 2015 and were used for developing the APECS Strategic Plan 2016 - 2020. In preparation for the drafting of the next APECS Strategic Plan 2021 - 2025 a second Organizational Review is being conducted throughout 2019, in order to better develop and adjust the strategy for APECS in the coming years.

The 2018-2019 Executive Committee appointed an Organizational Review Committee (ORC, members listed below) to conduct this review, consisting of both members and mentors of APECS, as well as other members of the polar research community. Instruments used in the review include a member survey, interviews, and analysis of APECS documents and reports.

The ORC can be contacted via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

A final report is expected by early 2020 and will be released to the APECS membership.
