 ED.\nThe North Pacific Arctic Conference (NPAC), co-organized by the East-W
 est Center and the Korea Maritime Institute, is celebrating its 10th annive
 rsary. This innovative conference provides a venue for off-the-record engag
 ement among policymakers/practitioners and scientists/analysts regarding Ar
 ctic issues of mutual interest to leading North Pacific Arctic states (Cana
 da, Russia, and the United States) and non-Arctic states (China, Japan, and
  South Korea).  NPAC aims to provide early identification of key policy iss
 ues and improved understanding of major options for addressing these issues
  in the context of the Arctic Council and elsewhere. All six states are mem
 bers of the G-20. Together, they account for more than 50% of the world’s g
 reenhouse gas emissions as well as a large share of global commerce. \nFund
 s are available to support up to five Early-Career Arctic Researchers as NP
 AC Fellows. They will join a group of world class international researchers
  and policymakers in addressing contemporary issues affecting the Arctic. T
 his year the NPAC theme is Will Great-Power Politics Threaten Arctic Sustai
