DESCRIPTION:<p>Once again, all scientists interested in polar research are invited to m
 eet at the yearly Polarforum, organized by the Swedish Polar Research Secre
 tariat (SPRS). Polarforum is a platform for discussing possibilities and co
 llaborations within Swedish polar research.</p><p>The event takes place on 
 <strong>November 22 and 23</strong> at the Maritime Museum in Stockholm. Fo

 website</a>.</p><p><strong>APECS workshop at Polarforum</strong></p><p>On t
 he second day of Polarforum, APECS Sweden is hosting a workshop for early c
 areer scientists. The workshop will include sessions on</p><ul><li>career d
 evelopment</li><li>upcoming funding and expedition calls</li><li>polar safe
 ty training</li><li>steering committee elections</li></ul><p><a href="https

  free and the last day to register is November 16.</p><p>SPRS will generous
 ly award the first 10 people to register a travel support covering travel c
 osts of up to 1 500 SEK. The requirements for being eligible are</p><ul><li
 >being based in Sweden</li><li>being based outside of Stockholm and Uppsala
