DESCRIPTION:Due to the current exceptional circumstances caused by the Corona pandemic,
  we have postponed this course. The new course date is 10-18 April 2021. We
  expect that the situation has improved by then, but if not, successful app
 licants will be informed in due time.\nThe course is primarily aimed at you
 ng scientist (MSc students, PhD students, Postdocs) in Arctic research and 
 is given in English. This course has a transdisciplinary approach and focus
 es on both Arctic research and the role of communicating research.\nThe cou
 rse involves a set of relevant lectures and tutorials about ongoing Arctic 
 research, TRS and communication techniques. Main emphasis will be placed on
  group work and a final communication effort/product which is to be produce
 d during the course. The course starts with introductory lectures from diff
 erent topics. Field work, group discussions and group work will follow.\nPr
 actical work \nPlease note that the field component involves long hikes and
  work during sometimes difficult Arctic/alpine weather conditions. Particip
 ants are required to bring suitable clothing and shoes for this. Students a
 re asked to cooperate in small groups (3-4 persons) with different task of 
 interest in the realm of relevant research.\nLearning outcomes \nThe course
  strives to improve transferable skills such as multidisciplinary approach 
 and collaborative learning. In the end of the course the student will have\
