Due to the current exceptional circumstances caused by the Corona pandem ic, we have postponed this course. The new course date is 10-18 April 2021< strong>. We expect that the situation has improved by then, but if not, successful applicants will be informed in due time.
The course is primarily aimed at young scientist (MSc students, PhD students, Postdocs ) in Arctic research and is given in English. This course has a transdiscip linary approach and focuses on both Arctic research and the role of communi cating research.
The course involves a set of relevant lectures and t utorials about ongoing Arctic research, TRS and communication techniques. M ain emphasis will be placed on group work and a final communication effort/ product which is to be produced during the course. The course starts with i ntroductory lectures from different topics. Field work, group discussions a nd group work will follow.
Practical work
Please note that the field component involves long hikes and work during s
ometimes difficult Arctic/alpine weather conditions. Participants are requi
red to bring suitable clothing and shoes for this. Students are asked to co
operate in small groups (3-4 persons) with different task of interest in th
e realm of relevant research.
