DESCRIPTION:<p>Due to the current exceptional circumstances caused by the Corona pandem
 ic, we have postponed this course. The new course date is 10-18 April 2021<
 strong>.</strong> We expect that the situation has improved by then, but if
  not, successful applicants will be informed in due time.</p><p>The course 
 is primarily aimed at young scientist (MSc students, PhD students, Postdocs
 ) in Arctic research and is given in English. This course has a transdiscip
 linary approach and focuses on both Arctic research and the role of communi
 cating research.</p><p>The course involves a set of relevant lectures and t
 utorials about ongoing Arctic research, TRS and communication techniques. M
 ain emphasis will be placed on group work and a final communication effort/
 product which is to be produced during the course. The course starts with i
 ntroductory lectures from different topics. Field work, group discussions a
 nd group work will follow.</p><p><strong>Practical work&nbsp;<br /></strong
 >Please note that the field component involves long hikes and work during s
 ometimes difficult Arctic/alpine weather conditions. Participants are requi
 red to bring suitable clothing and shoes for this. Students are asked to co
 operate in small groups (3-4 persons) with different task of interest in th
 e realm of relevant research.</p><p><strong>Learning outcomes</strong>&nbsp
 ;<br />The course strives to improve transferable skills such as multidisci
 plinary approach and collaborative learning. In the end of the course the s
 tudent will have</p><ul><li>increased knowledge of current Arctic research 
 and ongoing Arctic research initiatives</li><li>knowledge about different c
