SUMMARY:III Annual Meeting SOCHICRI 2020 - postponed to March 2021
LOCATION:Concepción\, Chile
DESCRIPTION:The SOCHICRI meeting is postponed to March 2021, please visit the event web
 site (http://sochicri.cl/index.html) for additional information.\n \nThe Ch
ilean Cryosphere Society (SOCHICRI) invites researchers, professionals and
students from Chile and abroad to participate in the annual meeting for 202
 0. This will be held in Concepción from 13 – 15 May 2020 and will be organi
sed by the Departments of Geography and Geophysics, University of Concepció
n.\nUnfortunately, due to the recent developments in the COVID pandemic in
Latin America and especially in Chile, the 2020 local committee in consulta
tion with the National committee has decided to postpone the 3rd Annual Chi
lean Cryosphere Society Meeting (SOCHICRI) to March 2021. The specific date
s will be communicated soon. Considering the uncertainty regarding the spre
ad of the virus, a new date in March of the following year will allow us to
develop a hybrid meeting, with in-person and interactive online attendance
. The in-person version of the meeting will still be held in the Vicerrecto
ría de Investigación, Universidad de Concepción (<a href="https://goo.gl/ma

e activated this week, remaining open for more submissions until November 3
0th, 2020 in order to allow interested researchers who would like to partic
ipate in the next year event.\nSo, the SOCHICRI team would like to reiterat

om Chile and abroad to participate in the annual meeting, organized by the
Geography and Geophysics Departments of Concepcion University in Chile.\nWe
