DESCRIPTION:<p>The six-day event will bring together atmosphere, cryosphere and ocean s
 cientists from around the globe to participate in scientific presentations 
 and discussions, exchanges of information, and international earth science 
 cooperation.</p><p>IACS will welcome session proposals on any areas of cryo
 spheric science and joint symposia concerning interactions of the cryospher
 e with either or both of the atmosphere and the ocean. Themes for joint sym
 posia could include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Arctic and Antarctic
  sea ice change</li><li>ice shelf collapse and sea level change</li><li>Arc
 tic Amplification</li><li>atmosphere-ice-ocean interactions (sea ice, ice s
 helves, marine-terminating glaciers)</li><li>climate change in the polar re
 gions</li><li>Greenland and Antarctic surface mass balance</li><li>polar-mi
 dlatitude teleconnections</li><li>planetary boundary layers over snow and i
