During January 26 – 30, the 14th Arctic Frontiers conference is held in Tromsø, Norway. Th e annual conference is an international event, linking policy makers, indus try and academia focusing on the Arctic regions. This year, the APECS Arcti c Frontiers organising team has prepared the following activities and event s for you:
Tuesday 28/01
16:00 – 19:00 MAIN poster session with evaluation for the Nansen poster awards
19:00 – 23:00 Networking Night, registration is required
Wednesday 29/01
15:00 – 18:00 Poster session
On Tuesday, January 28 from 19:00, we invite the participants of the Arctic Frontiers S tudent Forum, ARCTOS Workshop and other early career researchers that are r egistered for the conference to the Networking Night.
We invite you for a social evening and cultural experience at the Planetariet and th e Sami cultural house Árdna, which are both located at the campus of UiT - The Arctic University of Norway.
20:00-21:00: At Planetariet, we watc h Ole Christian Salomonsen's movie "Extreme Auroras" that captures the most spectacular northern lights that were observed around Tromsø over a period of five years. The movie is 28 minutes long.
21:00-23:00 Then, we mo ve to Árdna where a cosy atmosphere with a campfire invites us to relax and get to know about our Arctic experiences through Polar Bingo. Evening snac ks/finger food will be provided.
