LOCATION:Groningen\, The Netherlands
DESCRIPTION:<div class=""><div class="">The Arctic Centre organises a winter school 'A
 sustainable future for the Arctic'.&nbsp;The organizers are aiming at (inte
 r-)national civil servants and policy makers, politicians, managers, financ
 ial experts and (young) academics who are looking for a nuanced and wide-ra
 nging understanding of the Arctic, which can be a crucial asset to many pub
 lic- and private-sector employers with operations in the Arctic.</div><div
 class="">&nbsp;</div></div><div class="">Global warming is most prominent i
 n the Arctic with visible changes in ice and snow and enormous challenges f
 or ecosystems and people to adapt to the new situation. Loss of the Arctic
 as we know it, coincides with new development in this area on conservation,
  cooperation, governance and security. New business opportunities should ta
 ke account of the sensitivities of the natural environment and local people
 . Sustainable solutions require multidimensional knowledge and a prudent ap
 proach when coming from outside the Arctic.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div clas
