DESCRIPTION:The X Workshop APECS Portugal will focus on the value of early career scien
 tists for science, in a research team and within scientific networks and vi
 ce-versa - a Scientist is Born. We aim to understand how early career scien
 tists can progress within research teams from the perspective of experience
 d researchers; what is the role of early career in the development of inter
 national networks such as APECS, as well as the advantages of integrating t
 hese networks; and how can involvement in educational activities and outrea
 ch can be beneficial both for the scientist developing a career and for edu
 cation. The experience and knowledge of senior researchers along with these
  kinds of collaborations are of utmost importance as feedback for young res
