The annu al High North Dialogue conference gathers experts and stakeholders from a r ange of sectors with a focus on business development and economic growth in the High North. It provides a platform to interact with young academics an d professionals with an interest in the Arctic.
The subthemes of 2020 are Geo-economy, People, Climate and Food. We will explore topics such a s High North scenarios, infrastructure, investment possibilities, blue econ omy and regional economic development. We are developing an exciting and va ried program, and the information on our webpages will be updated continuou sly.
The conference coincides with week-long Master and P hD courses that gather graduate students from Norway, Russia, Chin a and several other countries. You are also invited to take part in our&nbs p;High North Dialogue Research Wo rkshop March 19-20, connecting scholars across academic fields to discuss the aspects of growth in the Arctic. For the fifth year in a row, the High North Hero Award will be presented to a person or organizat ion that has contributed to highlighting the importance of the High North. Please nominate your candidate by February 1st.
For the third year in a row, the High No rth Young Entrepreneur Award will be presented to individual entre preneurs or a company with an idea related to the circumpolar north. Please nominate your candidate or apply by the 10th of February.
