DESCRIPTION:The aim of the International PhD School “Russia in the Arctic Dialogue: Loc
 al and Global Context” is to provide young researchers from Arctic and non-
 Arctic countries with the knowledge about the Russian Arctic Strategy and l
 arge-scale projects and facilitate international collaboration in studying 
 and discussing contemporary issues of the Arctic region in global context. 
 Russian and foreign high officials and speakers of the International Forum 
 are invited for keynote lectures and discussions.\nThe School participants 
 will discuss a vast scope of current issues of the Arctic: northern governa
 nce and economies, environmental challenges, Arctic law, life of the local 
 communities, human adaptation, international cooperation in the Arctic.\nEl
 igible participants: PhD students from Arctic and non-Arctic countries. The
