DESCRIPTION:<p>The Bridging Science, Art, and Community in the New Arctic<span style="c
 olor: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem; background-color: inh
 erit;">&nbsp;workshop</span> will consist of a one-day symposium featuring 
 disciplinary research presentations by various practitioners, including env
 ironmental scientists, musicians, architects, and anthropologists, followed
  by a three-day working meeting for interdisciplinary discussions among res
 earchers, Alaskan youth, and university students. There will also be musica
 l performances and art exhibitions.</p><p>The workshop will be organized ar
 ound a core scientific question that focuses on a very specific, and human-
 relevant, spatial scale of the Arctic landscape. That question is: how does
  the changing Arctic landscape affect the natural, built, and cultural envi
 ronments of the Arctic system?</p><p>The proposed question and the unique m
 ethods of inquiry will lead to a workshop outcome of action items for movin
 g forward a new agenda of highly interdisciplinary means for research, educ
