DESCRIPTION:the 25th session of ERCA (European Research Course on Atmospheres) that wil
 l take place in\nGrenoble (& at the astronomical Observatory of Haute-P
 rovence)\nfrom\nJanuary 11th, 2017 to February 9th. The course is intended 
 to students\nenrolled in PhD programs, young scientists and engineers from\
 nuniversities and public/private research institutes wishing to\ncomplete t
 heir formation with a very complete research course related\nto Atmosphere,
  Climate and Climate change studies.\nThe 25th session of ERCA will special
 ly explore the theme "from 25 years ago to 25 years forward" and will be or
 ganized around the following topics:\n• atmospheric chemistry and atmospher
 ic composition changes\n• Earth climate system and the science of Climate c
 hange\n• Earth Science system - Impact and society\n• experimental techniqu
 es and research methodologies for the atmospheric sciences\n• hydrology and
  precipitation: water cycle in climate change\nIt includes practical course
 s (lidar and other techniques for atmospheric observations) held at the Obs
 ervatoire de Haute-Provence (Southern France) and in Grenoble, and relies o
 n a strong collective project centered on this years theme.\nA number of sp
