Drs. Mike Steele (University of Washington, Seattle, USA) and Andrey Pro shutinsky (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Massachusetts, USA) are pl eased to announce the annual school and workshop for FAMOS, the Forum for A rctic Modeling and Observational Synthesis, to take place November 1-4 2016 in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA.
FAMOS is a forum to encourage col laboration among Arctic Marine Modelers(ocean and sea ice, physical/biogeoc hemical) and those who wish to collaborate with such scientists (e.g., obse rvationalists, glaciologists, hydrologists, meteorologists, geologists, bio logists).
At this time we are soliciting abstracts for talks and post ers for the workshop, which will (non-exclusively) focus on small-scale pro cesses, and applications to the school (for which travel support is availab le, usually for those who have not previously attended).
